What is Spam-Gurni?

The Spam Gurni range of spam filters was founded out of necessity to prevent spam on our websites and in our email.

We believe that free information should be made available to the world. To do this we wanted to enable guest posting on our forums. When we tried this the influx of spam was astronomical, captcha's annoyed our members and the time needed for admin's to remove the spam was annoying to them.

It was then that the idea was born.

The Attic Network Developers sat down and asked ourselves.
"Why don't we filter spam on the forums like we would an email?"
So we started building a database of spam and designed a filtering system much like that of a email spam service.

With our simple software it will integrate into all common form software with settings for the admin's to choose how they want things done.

The name Spam-Gurni is actually based on a high pressure water cleaner called a Gurni. So the slogan "We blast your spam off the net" quite literally means to blow it away!
